英语作业评语

  一、 作业评语要符合学生的实际水平

 评语是写给学生看的,所以一方面评语要使用学生能看得懂的英语来写,所使用的词汇和语法不能过高或过低于学生的现有水平,要切合学生的实际水平,符合学生的个性心理发展需要;另一方面要做到循序渐进,由易到难,能够起到"跳一跳,摘到桃子"的作用,也就是说学生通过上下文的猜测或借助于词典就能理解。

 例如:

  It"s very clever of you to do so.

  It"s nice of you to write this way.

  Wonderful! Your English is very good and your answers are correct.

 I"m sure you can do your work better next time.

 You"ve done a good job.

 You are doing wonderfully!

  You can do better now than you did before.

 二、 作业评语要有助于学生对所学知识的理解和记忆

 语言的学习在于运用,所以教师在写评语时应运用所学的知识,以使学生能加强理解和记忆。

 例如:

  You have improved a lot. I am proud of you.

  That"s great. Please never give up trying. Success comes through hard work and constant effort.

  No pains, no gains. I hope you will make more progress in the future.

 What good work! You are the pride of our class.

 Work harder, and you will make more progress.

 The harder you work, the sooner you will improve.

 Come on! I am sure you will catch up soon.

 利用所学过的短语、句型和时态给学生写评语就能取得很好效果,可以帮助学生巩固和运用语言。

 三、 评语要有利于激发学生的学习热情

 学生有被尊重、被表扬、被认可的需要。在写作业时,希望得到教师的表扬和鼓励,这是学生精神上的需要。如果精神上的需要长久得不到满足,他们 就会产生消极的思想。

  因此,需要是学生学习行为的动力之一。需要的满足直接影响学生积极性的发挥,要充分发挥学生的积极性,对学生进行有效地鼓励是教育的策略之一。激励就是激发鼓励。一般地讲,激励就是以某种刺激为引诱,调动人的主动性、积极性和创造性。教师的评语就是刺激学生的诱因。学生有不同的性格,有不同的需要,那么激励的方法也不同。教师针对不同的学生及其作业,在不同场合所作的评语可激发学生的学习热情,让优等生更上一层楼,使中等生改正缺点、发扬优点,使暂时落后的学生能克服畏惧心理,树立信心。所以对优等生的作业表扬中要有指正,教师可通过评语向他们提出更高要求。

 例如:

  It"s good to be correct. It"s also important to be creative.

 Excellent. You haven"t made any mistakes, but do try to make your handwriting neater.

 对中等生的作业要慎重评价,在评语中要多督促。

 例如:

  You had better be more careful! Pay more attention to the tenses.

 Your work is quite good except for a few spelling mistakes.

 Keep it up. Remember that little by little one goes far.

  对于差生的作业要多点激励,温和地指出错误的同时,也要指出他的优点以资鼓励。

 例如:

  The structure of the composition is good, but tries to make sure the word order in your sentences is correct.

  Lily, I like your handwriting very much although there are some mistakes here. I am sure you can correct them.

  Bill, I think you can do better if you work harder.

  Your answers show you have real ability in the course, and you are developing increasing depth of thought and clarity of expression in your written work. However there are some grammar mistakes in the essay/here.

  Your work has improved. I am sure there is nothing too difficult for us to learn.

  You have done your work better this time. I believe that nothing is impossible as long as you work hard. Practice makes perfect.

  Diana, you always do well in English. But sometimes

  you are a little careless. You see, what you"ve done here. You"ve made such a funny mistake! I think you"ll correct it. Try to do your work as carefully as you can.

 对作业较差的学生,批评要注意艺术性和启发性,避免伤害学生的自尊心。英语中的委婉语和虚拟语气常 可以用来表达带批评意义的指导,如“ If only„„!”、“ How I wish „„!”、“ Would you please „„?”、“I"m afraid you „„”等等。

 我常用的这类批语有:

 “If only your handwriting were better! ”(要是你的字能写工整点该多好啊!)

 “How I wish you did your homework all by yourself! I think you can!”(我多希望你能自己 完成作业啊!我相信你能做到。)

  “ I"m sorry to see you didn"t use your own head this time. Will you do it all by yourself n ext time?”(我很遗憾, 你这次作业没有使用自己的脑袋。下次作业独立完成,好吗?)

  “Would you please pay attention to„„?”(请你注意„„好吗?)

 “I"m afraid you used Chinglish here, do you think so?”(恐怕你在这儿用的是中国式英语, 你说 呢? )

 (“Chinglish ”是“Chinese English”的幽默说法)

 每一个学生都希望得到教师的特别关注,而后进生尤其如此。正如“得到特别呵护的苗长得好,受到专门 护理的病人好得快”的道理一样,经常得到教师批语的学生,能从批语中感受到教师真诚而独特的爱,从而产 生一种情感动力,促使成绩进步。因此写作业批语时对后进生应有所侧重,并保持一定的连续性,注重每一次 批语的反馈及该生的进步,及时给予鼓励。例如,曾经批评过某生的书法,后发现其有所进步,我立即给予表 扬:

  “I"ve found your handwriting is better than before. Thank you!”(我已发现你的字比以前 好了,谢谢你!)

 又如,上次批评过某生抄作业,后来发现他自己独立做作业了,尽管作业有错,仍然立即鼓励:

  “Wonderful in spite of a few mistakes! You have made progress now!”(好极了!尽管有点小 错,但你已经进步了!)

  凯洛夫说:“感情有着极大的鼓舞力量。”如果我们教师在每一个教学环节上都对学生倾注真诚的爱,我们的教育就会焕发出积极的情感魅力。

 四、作业评语要能体现师生感情的交流

  作业不仅是师生间教学信息的相互反馈,而且是联系和沟通师生感情的桥梁。在作业中教师可以觉察到学生的思想和自主学习情况,从评语中学生也能领悟出教师对他是否关心、有信心和责任心。因此我们要充分利用作业评语加深师生情感交流。评语言辞恳切,切中要害;或热情鼓励、或委婉告诫„„始终使学生保持清醒的头脑、强烈的兴趣、昂扬的斗志,激励并坚定他们"青出于蓝而胜于蓝"的信念。通过评语,教师尽可把祝福、问候、关切、激励、真诚、信任之情化作甘甜的泉水,去滋润学生的心田,引起师生教与学的共鸣,达到教与学两者的和谐与统一。

 例如在节假日或某学生生日前,教师可以给予学生一些祝愿语:

 ●Merry Christmas!/Happy New Year!/Enjoy yourself in the coming holidays!/Happy birthday1/Many happy returns!

  又如某个学生因为生病缺课作业完成得很糟糕,教师就要说一些安慰的话:

  ●Lingling, you have made a few mistakes in your work. I know that is because you were absent...I think it is only natural. Don"t lose heart. I am ready to help you.

  再如某个学生因为考试不及格失去信心,教师就要说一些激励的话:

  ●I am sorry to hear that you didn"t pass the exam. I hope you are not too disappointed. I want to cheer you up with the saying "Failure is the mother of success". I nope to see much improvement in your future studies.

 五、作业评语形式要丰富多彩

  作业评语不仅仅是对作业本身进行评价,也可以包括学习和生活的各个方面,它的语言形式更是丰富多彩,千变万化,既可以是一个词或一个短语,也可以是一句话、一个段落或一则格言。例如:

 A词:

  ●Great!/Perfect!/Good!/Wonderful!/Correct!/Excellent!

  B.短语:

  ●Well done!/Neat and tidy!

  C.句型:

 ●That"s OK!

  ●What a good job you have done!

 ●Now you can do better than before.

 ●Your handwriting is excellent!

 ●Keep it up.

  ●Your English will become better if you work harder.

 D.段落:

  ●Although you have not been successful, you have done better than ever. Success belongs to the diligent learners. I am sure you will make more and more progress if you keep on practising your spoken English.

 E.格言:

  ●Practice makes perfect.

  ●Where there is a will, there is a way.

 ●Failure is the only highroad to success.

  ●Diligence is the mother of good fortune/good luck.

 ●He who does not advance falls backward.

 ●The water wears away stones.

  ●A good beginning is half done. 良好的开端是成功的一半。

 ● A man becomes learned by asking questions. 不耻下问才能有学问。

 ●A man cannot spin and reel at the same time. 一心不能二用。

 ●Care and diligence bring luck. 谨慎和勤奋才能抓住机遇。

 ●Complacency is the enemy of study. 学习的敌人是自己的满足。

 ● Confidence in yourself is the first step on the road to success. 自信是走向成功的第一步。

 ●Industry is the parent of success. 勤奋是成功之母。

 ●Never deter till tomorrow that which you can do today.今日事须今日毕,切勿拖延到明天。

 ●Diligence is the mother of good fortune. 勤勉是好运之母。

 ●Failure is the mother of success. 失败是成功之母

  当然写好评语的方式和要求还有许多,教师不仅要不断提高自己的英语书面表达能力,更重要的是深入研究学生的心理特点、思想情绪、个人爱好、学生习惯及英语水平等,以便言之有理、以理服人,这样才能写出激励人的好评语,不断提高学生的书面表达能力,通过作业评语加强师生间的交流,促进学生各方面协调发展。
